My story of making Aliyah is similar to that of some and very different than that of others. The seeds of deciding to move my life to Israel were planted after my first visit to Israel in March of 2005. Possibly it was the combination of the Kotel, Massada, Israeli blue skies and Ha'Tikva ringing in my ears that made me decide, but more likely it was the absolute feeling of belonging that enveloped me during my stay that tipped the scales.
Whatever it was, the seed was planted. I returned back to Seattle and started investigating Aliyah. Having been blessed for 4 years with a successful Pet Care Business, I knew without question my New Life in Israel would involve Dogs. I decided to name my new venture "PetSplash".
Working with my wonderful attorney, Russell Mayer in Jerusalem, I trademarked PetSplash as Israel's first ever American Style Dog Bath House. Prior to making Aliyah and to this very day, my friends at Nefesh B'Nefesh have been by my side. Without NBN I never would have had the Courage to make such a leap of faith.
So, after packing my bags, along with my recipe for Natural Pet Shampoo and other Green Products, I boarded a chartered NBN flight with 220 other Olim Chadashim for the journey Home. That was September 6th, 2006.
Now Ra'anana is my home. We opened PetSplash in Grand Style. On our first day, July 25th 2007, we held a fundraiser for Ha'Bayit Shel Benji in honor of Capt. Benji Hillman who gave his life defending Israel.
Two years later and business thriving, I have realized that I could not have been this successful without all of my new found friends. I would like to thank them for their Love, Kindness and of course, Shabbat Meals.
Thank You
